FIRETRUNK RECORDS is an independent record label based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. Founded in 1997, Firetrunk is run by independent musicians, including Lateduster, The Sensational Joint Chiefs, Sans Le Systeme, JG Everest, THE BRYAN OLSON JAZZ GROUP, DJ Celine Dijon & The Dijonettes, The Rolex Twinz, and The Viking Fog Attack. FTR also supports related groups FOG (Andrew Broder - ninja tune/ LEX) DOSH (Martin Dosh - Anticon), NEOTROPIC (Riz Maslen - MUSH), VICIOUS VICIOUS, sister label GROOVE GARDEN RECORDS, and FTR-sponsored events like the SOUNDUNSEEN FILM & MUSIC FESTIVAL, CROSSFADED THURSDAYS live soundtracks series at The DINKYTOWNER CAFE, MAKING MUSIC conversations series at The University of Minnesota, and CAPTURE! dance film series at the Bryant Lake Bowl Theatre - all in Minneapolis. Firetrunk is also branching out into film, video and dance collaborations with DV-CINEMA, CATALYST DANCE, and videographer RANDY KRAMER, as well as providing DJs or live music for weddings and other private functions.
